Last week, we discussed the importance of developing your vocabulary. Everyone agrees that vocabulary knowledge has an impact on your reading and writing abilities.
The teachers in all departments here at SSSD agree, also. Everyone will work as a team to help all students develop their vocabulary. For this blog, choose one or two words that you have learned in other classes (math, social studies, science, etc.). Define the words, use them in sentences, and explain where you learned the words.

Hey yo!, What's up with you all? enjoy your weekend? and I just wanted to tell you that many different vocab in math, ss, science, and larts. Honest with you all that most of worksheets that has a lot of vocab that is real tough and don't know how to spell it, then yes the students have to tell or ask the teachers for the help, so that means the teachers are willing for help kids out. Teachers are here only for helping you kids out and learn about things that what they teach you all. I love to learn many different type of vocab, because I wanted to learn more rough and have some challage! I am willing to learn so much new vocab in math, larts, ss, science!. I've always ask my mom what does that means, then she tells me and I was like oh yeah I should have to learn now and have fun with it. Yes I do agree with you all teachers and that they should have to take vocab class for students like as a team and have fun and thrown all new words that they possible knowledge about it.. That would be help us a lot. But that is all what I am saying, well I gotta to go for now.. See yah all later bye.

Hey! Many people agrees that vocabulary knowledge has an impact on your reading and writing because we need know how to chat, jobs, or anything we need to write. I learn vocabulary from reading class, social studies, science, math, art, job, and etc. I can know vocabulary as mean sign but I not good remember spell as long spell. I am wish more smart but I didn't good spell. Damn! All people (rich, or middle, or poor class) not know all of everything but not! All people alway get wrong spell. Not worry about it. We can learn to them and me! I want more learning vocabulary for future but I not want to quiz as O.R. doing that. Lol. Good Night!

Yep that ture that any difficult vocabulary would help your reading and writing abilities. Every time when you look that word and you still remember then when you become older and your friend or date (boyfriend/girlfriend) said that word you know and you will always remember when death it dosen't MATTER!! You still remember in your mind! Also often out world is more difficult to learn and remember because deaf hard to learn while hearing people learn easy and fast. Actually I am agree with (MADKML) =^D
Yea it's important for me to learn the new vocab words in different kind of subjects. I am agreeing with teacher,students about vocab. words. So if we dont learn with that new words then we dont know the new word at out of world. We need to know alot news vocab. words. Not old vocab but problem is to learn how spelled the words like longer words but short words is easy.But long words is alittle hard to remember! HAVE A GOOD DAY!
Yeah it very imortant vocabulary. Everyone will help with vocabulary yes of cousre! they should new learn word as difficult as college. But it very really important to reading because it will help with new learn and what mean it for new word and then go to get a bestfriend for dictionary it will help with you. I need learn to grammy english for improve and science, math, social and etc why? it important for reading for grammy. i really want to learn new vocablary too.

Well, I'm agreeing on this. We have to learn a new difficult word but some people don't understand difficult word but how we can learn a word mean is a vocabulary. Now SSSD must to teach a vocabulary to learn we try to be known in our future. I have to learn a math, English, reading, and social studies because they must to know what a word like a decade or biosocial. In the future do you want go to college or work but they would have a special a word what is mean for that. I hope they would to learn a new word and vocabulary.

you can use them for science class and math class and english. people who use vocab is helping you know what that mean.
I would love to read all diffrent vocab because I want to learn about vocab is more important to read vocab so I know what that mean. Hmm...., I agree with Letii Leee because she say if u don't know new word then u have common sense to read ur new best friend dictionary. Wow! I really learn lot of new words in per class but I have to pick a 2 words in any class. Hmmmm.... , I really to love to learn new vocabulary so much. perfecto, Today I learned new word in Math by Marty Keller was polytheism. That mean Many Gods as Roman/Greek Gods, Buddishm Gods,etc.... I am Polytheism with Roman/Greek God. Other new word in English hiccup, I konw that u all know what is that but I even learn that in English today. That mean in ur body have hard to breath or something. I had hiccup problemn when I was in lunch with my best friend forever, 3V1LJ0K3R!
Hello, Of course, Vocabulary is very important. If some words I don't know what that means, then I would going to my best friend dictionary. (credited by Letii Lee) I did ask teachers and they wouldn't tell me so. I begin to use dictionary often. It helps me learn a lot. I learned bisect (Half by same), decade (10 years), avocado (thats grow in calfornia and rough skin)

I learn many words from classes. I can't explain all those words! I learn words, "Acrylic" and "represent" from Art class.
Acrylic - permanent, glossy kind of paint, where tempera is matte (not shiny), and water soluable.
Represent - means to use images or symboliism to imply or show other meaning.
Other blog that I typed before this morning.... So heres other ones with words that I discovered for Social Studies. It is "LYSOGENIC INFECTION" It means process in which viral DNA is inserted into the DNA of a host cell before becoming active thats it.
I learned two new words in math class.
Scalene triangle- triangle with no equal sides
bisect- line or angle that split in half which both are same size

Maxilla. I learn it from health class. It means, above the jaw. When I see that word, I thought it means sometihng that max. Lol.
Phalanges. I learn it from health class too. It have two means. It means toes and finger too. Toes is causal word. But phalanges is more offically word.

2.Bittersweet
First of all, I never knew "bittersweet" was a word, until O'Rourke explained the real meaning behind it, it has gulped me. Bittersweet means you're doing something presently and you think to yourself that you wish it had happen to you before than TODAY.
(It was a bittersweet feeling.)
And lastly, Conspiracy - I think that definition was taught during Grapes of Wrath, but it means someone having a 2nd thought in the back of their head.
(The government discovered the conspiracy in time.)
I have new vocabulary in last week. I got new learn vocbaulary is Surivive. I learn surivive from "The Sinking of the Titanic" book. My mom told me about define and explain. She said can surivive as take risky or bad happen thing. Also, surivive can be alive or death. I rode my yellow Dirt Bike. I was go fast more than 55 mhp on the road. I was lost of control cause alot small rock in the road. I was fell. I got alot blood on my leg and arm. I got surivie but I still alive! Thank To Mr. God Dirt Bike!

I learn alot vocabulary from ctc, math, reading, write, gym, and science. The books, sign, chat online, dictionary, and form still have vocabulary. It always have there. I like to learn new words.
But i always research new words from chat online, internet and book while summer. Because i always bored at my home all the time. Few time, i was out with my friends but they live so far. Sometime, i sleepover my older sister's house. Everyday, i do nothing my home so i keep busy to talk with my friends on internet and look around fact internet. I live in country. If i don't understand the words's meaning then i asked my mom that's mean. Then i always put on paper or my pager to save the new words. It keep me to remember the words and meaning.
i learn new words:

Prefix means an affix placed before a base or another prefix, as un- in unkind, un- and re- in unrewarding.
Accomplish means to bring to its goal or conclusion; carry out; perform; finish: to accomplish one's mission.
Headstrong means determined to have one's own way; willful; stubborn; obstinate: a headstrong young man.
Pupil means The apparently black circular opening in the center of the iris of the eye, through which light passes to the retina.

consequences mean what will happen end. Ex If you don't study math tomorrow test consequences you get F!

The vocabulary are very important to me. Becasue I learn more many vocabulary for commuicate hearing people and grammar. I learn a lot many difference vocabulary from the classes like Health, Reading, Enlgish writing, socical students, sicence, and math. I never stop my education and keep going to my education forever until I die. I am really love to learn more new vocabulary.
Keep the should off: Keep out of line in the highway like white lane. If someone pull out to out of white lane then will get fine money.
Femur: The femur, the longest and strongest bone in the skeleton. Femur is hard to break and If break femur would bad bleed hit to become rip from artery. Have to go to hospital then surgery fix to Femur. That is very serious. ( I learn to health class)
Polynomial: Many number. Cant say to quardnoimal but only monomials to trinomial. I learn this word from 2 days ago from capenter in the math class.

I know what is mean. Barometer is that measures air (barometric) pressure. Have 2 types kind of mercury barometric and aneroid barometric. ( I learn from science class and I learn this word it was last week ago.)
I useing vocab in health class alots because I need to remember it because I have test next monday. its important to use vocab because they can help you some pratice skill. I only need to know about human bones. I used vocab and study them for 4weeks. I know about back bone and the jaw.

Actually yeah, there have different Vocabulary in social studies, arts, science and math, include reading and different subjuct or etc. And this reading make you will learn more than lots vocarbulary. Any teachers teach us learn this new vocabulary make you remember this word in future, if there show new word or something then you should know what mean is.. Because some of teacher did teah you this vocabulary.. You should know this word so.. If you dont know new word then going to looking your best friend dictionary =)... this dictionary would help you remember this.. =)
