Earth Day is Tuesday, April 22nd. People from all over the world will take action on that day to raise awareness of how we can take care of our home, Earth. There are many issues that are being discussed - especially RECYCLING. Check out this website: http://ww2.earthday.net/plasticbags It shows the harm that plastic bags, which are used in grocery stores (like Wal-Mart, Wegman's, etc.), do to our environment. They harm wildlife (animals). Imagine the millions of these bags that are thrown away everyday.
Think about what we can do at SSSD to improve how we recycle. Are we doing our part as a school community to recycle? What can we do better to recycle plastic bags, plastic bottles (water/soda), newspapers, paper, etc. Explain why recycling NOW is important.

Hmm.., I really support with Earth Day because I feel bad for sea turtles, doplhins, and orca. Because they can die of entanglement, suffocation, and ingestion because they assume that these bags are jellyfish. I really to help SSSD community to clean our campus as plasic bags, bottles of soda or aters, papers, newspapers, etc...! I have idea about bags for whenever u go to shopping then bring your own bag as English teacher have one of those. NEVER USE PLASTIC BAGS WHERE OR WHENEVER U GO TO SHOPPING!!!! Hmmm..., other questions are so hard for me to answer. Because we always use papers because of write then throw if u have mistake. But anyway u save it until summer over then u decide to throw or not. We always use to read newspaper but I suggest u use it to fold with pretty stuff as glass, or silverwave, etc...! Perfecto! We never throw bottles of soda or water because we can drink soda then use it for water when u thrill anytime. I think Recycle important becaue I really care about Sea Turtles, Doplhins, Orca. I really Bon Soir Earth becauase u screw- up with ocean animals. Please not ever screw- up with Orca. Because That is my future job to be Orca Animal Trainer! If u ever screw- up with that. I will say I REALLY REALLY REALLY BON SIOR U EVER in My LIFE. Exsue Me, I talk to Earth. Giggles!

I know alot about "Earth Day." It is mostly important because our earth can care about care with our enviornment.
We can off power electirly for lights because we can save for coal make from electirly and less pollect. We used electirly more than 1 ton of coal. We need save coal for future. I not want waste coal that nothin reason. We need recycle for plastic bags, plastic bottles, newspapers, paper and etc. because we can recycling it. We not want waste for new etc of raw material because that waste for natural and animals. Also, that can increase pollect when use too much it.
Oh I like that idea. My mom got them. I think four bags. She refused to use plastic bags. She use bags that not plastic. I forgot spell. She alway put them in car trunk. Any stores she going, she use bags. She don't care that what bags represent of stores.
Oh we use different of recycle. We use box with cans, papers, and many things. Indiviluady! recycle can help because they can use again and again. we don't have to cut down trees and that stuff.
Hey yo! I knew about Earth Day on 22nd, and I honestly actually think people should have to be clean and put all trash in the garbage bags instead of throwing all stuff outside on the side of the streets. I don't like it, well did you all know that I work at Recycling as my work for summer? I've been into recycling for like 7 years now only have 3 men works at recycling is me, Jenkins and Cudo with big recycling truck on every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, also when the truck full we have to take the truck to Lackawanna Recycling Center in Throop. I serious love it a lot, when you put the recycling on the recycling cans, then wasted it all. When you throw the Paper, Bottles and cardboards, then they have to recollecting all junk things, then sent all junks into big eighteen wheel trucks then they travel to recycling factory then remake it with same bottles and newspaper can you believe it?!.. I wouldn't believe at all because I think it can be germs from other people that who used the same bottles and stuff. They have special chemical to clean it all out of germs then make a new one liquid inside of bottle. That is all what I will have to say. I gotta to go, my girlfriend Kelsey is waiting for me. Well, Last week on Friday I wasn't in reading because I'm with Donna for practice drama. I do remember when I was kid during in Danville Elem. School with my deaf program special education. My teacher ask me do you know what is Earth's day but I don’t know what is mean. The teacher said you have to clean up a bottle, cans, paper, and different things what i notice hide something in bushes and many different in area. In the future I hope they would to clean up with paper or other things to pick up in the recycling in the green boxes. The truck will be pick up then back to building to make a paper, pencil, or different things. I wish the earth would be healthy in the world.

The Earth is clean in hte world of cousre. Many whoever for job clean on Earth that recycle in the water and kind of soda. I think they must clean on Earth why? because some people not want to dirty on the Earth that awful! And, many people like clean on Earth as FRESH smell GOOOD!!! I think some people were nice and i like that because they were clean on the Earth. Im pround of some people. I wish Earth is FRESH! i hope dont dirty in the world as animals.
Hmmm... i think sssd improve about recycle. I saw whoever work in hte sssd for clean in the recycle. they are good job and hard work.
That 2 days more left Earth Day. Oh, that plastic bags that I have more many its, my mom put hold save plastic bags not put in it can but, i don't have recycling can why, plastic has oil just 1%? I read Earth Day's web but, poor turtle ate some plastic bags that food make dead... So sad. :'-(
When I was young always threw out things outside.. Now when I older got realized and learn do not throw out of things outside. My mom taught me do not throw outside made look messy. My mom told me that threw things outside, outside is not trash, and only put to can trash. My mom had good habit, little stuff need put trash always put to plastic bag in the car. When we arrives at home, take the plastic bag go to the trash. My home area strict rule must have one green trash can "WM" and blue can from home state for can, plastic can, glass cup, and "thing for cups". If we not bring the both of can we will be fine for money from state home area almost like police.
MY friend, my mom, and I always collected the soda can for earn money. Also Newspaper too.
SSSD does have the recycle. As in Can recycle, paper recycle. SSSD should have all of things that need to be recycle, it will be most easy.
Recycle is important because group of things which can make again. Dont have to make new one and destory the environment. Its like to use the used things to make again to save the environment.
I agree with Germany 54. We can clean around SSSD help the environment. Recycle is better because can make again. People throw things are bad. It can hurt animals and earth. I want to help.

Why does recycle is improtant right now, because the enivorment will be change a lot in few years later with lot of garabge, plastic and etc. All of these are left on outside. It destory the enivorment.
But, we can improve about use plastic. My mom bought the cotton bag. That cotton bag is using for buy foods and the foods put in this cotton bag. Use the cotton bag instead of plastic bag. It dont cost that much.
Also, I used to bring the plastic water bottle everydays, right? But right now, I didnt use the plastic water bottle, I use the metal silver bottle, and use water in it. If it is running out of water, then fill in again. It save a lot of money AND save the enivorment more too.
I will ask my mom about it, then I will give you website and buy it.
I support Earth Day. I want everybody to respect our country and try to keep the roads clean from litter. All the litter makes our streets dirty. People should stop throwning cans and bottles out the window and take them to the recycling center. My uncle recycles soda cans and makes 100 dollars each time. We should all learn to recycle paper. It saves the trees in the forest. So we have a healthyc place to live.
Oh well, there forward lookin for soda can or water bottle, wage money for benefit.. Then take bottle, soda can or etc then will change new soda can or bottle or something. I m sure wage for money in benefit. What i thinkin of that way, Unforget about 5 years ago we were in middle school some of students knew this, we were cleanupin sssd campus and looking for bottle and soda can then give Recycling. Earth day very caring and have to clean up some paper, soda, bottle.. I guess it all say is.
I saw one the store ,near my home, have green cloth bags cost $0.99. But I didnt see people buy thos or useful. I notice many people use plastic bags from other many stores. The plastic bag is oil, so should have recylce for plastic bags. Everyone should useful cloth bags because can use again and wont thorwn away everyday like plastic bags.
Yes, we need to improve at SSSD for recyle. We havent recyle for plastic bottles. Because we always buy bottles for drink. And Who cleaner took garbage and recyle newspapger or paper put one big garbage together.
I remember when I was young, I was involved with this community service of Earth Day with SSSD. We use to go around SSSD campus and pick up all the garbages, plastic, and recycle them, Yes I do believe we are harming our animals and earth, everyday when I drive out, I do see alot of dirty things out there, it makes our country not looking beautiful anymore, people start to not care about what we do out there, one littering affects alot, we SSSD need to expose kids more about throwing garbages and throwing recycle how we can see the difference, I do see SSSD have 2 different garbage one trash, one recycle but wait do students know the difference, do they know what to put or not, we need to expose more, thats what we need to do on this campus, the last time i did recycle community service was when i was in middle-school, maybe only when i was 9th grade, hardly remember about 10th grade but for 11th and 12th defentily nothing, recycling today is important because it affects our health, animal's health, flooding, many things, we need to start recycling for the better of our world!!
i feel bad littering arnd the world, but I admit - I do litter, because every1 else do! but I didnt think of the animals and such.. I do care abt them and their lives ahead but the other hand, I have no saying in this thing because I dont find it important..

Yeah I am unlimited percent agree with post it is very important to our planet. I notice my location some people throw (food, things, etc) outside and some people don't care about environment and some care about environment. If other forgien come to America and they will or will not said "Oh my god America are look like "America the Dump" I would never come to Amercia no more!" I want other forigen come here and said "WOW America is very clean!!"
Sadley, it's hard to believe we live in a world where there's so many garbage on the ground. Everytime I drive on the highway on I-80, I see people littering their trash out the window. Why can't they do the right thing? Maybe it's because they don't care about the enviornment. All they can do is throw their sickness trash out. I'm starting to get very upset. Apparently, whatever people open a wrap of gum, they usaully throw it to the ground. I know I do that too, but it's not right. The fines, this year, is double whenever that happen. I rather keep my trash in my car. Ha, that remind me, I better clean my car this week. I work at Universal Printing Com in Dunmore, every workers are requie to throw any waste into the right garbage can. Some, my job is to gather any material that we don't use and take it to the recycling center. I think SSSD should improve as well.
i do care about earth day. i like to nice place. i dont want to see the mess up with place. if soda or bag or ciggs throw on the road. Thats rude. i hope people know better its need clean the road or house or something. i want to see pretty outside unless gas are so bad for people. that pretty suck. that our life.
